I knelt to pray but not for long, MY EASTER BLOG

The Poem I knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do. I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due. So I knelt and said a hurried prayer, And jumped up off my knees. My Christian duty was now done My soul could rest at ease..... All day long I had no time To spread a word of cheer No time to speak of Christ to friends, They'd laugh at me I'd fear. No time, no time, too much to do, That was my constant cry, No time to give to souls in need But at last the time, the time to die I went before the Lord, I came, I stood with downcast eyes. For in his hands God! held a book; It was the book of life. God looked into his book and said 'Your name I cannot find I once was going to write it down... But never found the time' Now do you have the time to pass it on?
If you look at what you do not have in life, you don't have anything, If you look at what you have in life, you have everything.
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God. Quiet moments, worship God. Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God.

You Never Know Where Angels Will Be.

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay i n the mansion. Instead the angels were given a small space in an old tool shed. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, 'Things aren't always what they seem. 'The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had, the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die. 'Things aren't a lways what they seem,' the older angel replied. 'When we stayed in the tool shed at the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall… Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. ''Then last night as we slept in the farmer’s bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem. 'Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later...
Some people come into our lives and quickly go, Some become friends and stay awhile.... leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts and we are never quite the same because we made a friend!! Yesterday is history. Tomorrow a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present! Live and savor every moment...
Life is a dress rehearsal!

Walking with an Angel Poem

I do it every day Your guardian angel is with you, come what may. Assigned by God, and sent to watch over you He's with you each day, no matter what you do. You don't believe, you don't think this is so He guards each step you take, he wants you to know. Ever been close to death, just one step away, Catch yourself saying, boy was I ever lucky today. Luck didn't do it, whether you realize it or not Protected in his arm's, the Lord has not forgot You don't believe, you don't think this is so He guards each step you take, he wants you to know. More times than you know, death does knock But your angel will protect, if you're planted firmly on the rock. The next time you come close, take a good look around, He may be right next to you, or no where to be found. You don't believe, you don't think this is so, He guards each step you take, he wants you to know You may or may not see him, but he's always there Remember that the next time you miss death by a hair. Do you need an angel, do you know where to look All the promises are given, just read it in God's book. You don't believe, you don't think this is so He guards each step you take, he wants you to know The minute you are saved, you're assigned an angel of your own. He will see you through, till God calls you home. On that day he will step forward and take your hand, He will lead you through the gate, home to the promise land. You don't believe, you don't think this is so. He guards each step you take, he loves you, and wants you to know.

Easter Pine Tree Crosses Story

Last Spring on a Sunday afternoon we took one of our "nowhere" drives thru the country. My husband was quietly driving along some back roads. I was occupied in the front passenger seat watching out the window as the scenery went by.
I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my husband was straining to look out my window. This startled me, since his eyes should be on the road in front of him. I asked him what he was looking at out the windows, and he quietly replied, "Nothing. " He could have said he was looking for pine tree crosses for Easter. His eyes went back to the road in front of him.
After a few minutes, I looked over at my husband and noticed a tear running down his cheek. I asked him what was wrong. This time he told me, "I was just thinking about Pop and a story he had once told me." Of course, because it had to do with his Pop I wanted to know the story, so I asked him to share Pop's story with me.
He said, "When I was about 8 years old, Pop and I were out fishing and that's when he told me that the pine trees know when it is Easter."
I had no idea what he meant by that, so I pressed him for more information.
He continued on... "The Pine trees start their new growth in the weeks before Easter -- if you look at the tops of the Pine trees two weeks before Easter, you will see the yellow shoots. As the days get closer to Easter Sunday, the tallest shoot will branch off and form pine tree crosses for Easter. By the time Easter Sunday comes around, you will see that most of the Pine trees will have small yellow crosses on all of the tallest pine shoots."
I turned to look out the window and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a week before Easter, and you could see all of the pine trees with the tall yellow shoots stretching to Heaven.
The tallest ones shone in the sunlight like rows of tiny golden crosses.

Pennies From Heaven

I found a penny today, just laying on the ground. But it is not just a penny, this little coin I found. Found pennies come from heaven, thats what my Grandpa told me. He said Angels toss then down, oh how I loved that story .He said when an Angel misses you, they toss a penny down. Sometimes just to cheer you up, make a smile out of your frown. So don't pass by that penny when you're feeling blue. It may be a penny from heaven, that an Angel's tossed to you.

The Interview

I dreamed I had an interview with God.
"Come in," God said. "So, you would like to interview Me?"
"If you have the time," I said.
God smiled and said, "My time is eternity and is enough to do everything; what questions do you have in mind to ask me?"
"What surprises you most about mankind?"
God answered, "That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.
That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future. That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived.
God's hands took mine and we were silent for while and then I asked, "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want you children to learn?"
God replied with a smile, "To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved. To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives but who they have in their lives.
To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. All will be judged individually on their own merits not as a group on a comparison basis!
To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most but is one who needs the least.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness. To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.
To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally different.
To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them, and likes them anyway.
To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they have to forgive themselves."
I sat there for a while enjoying the moment and thanked Him for His time and for all that He has done for me and my family, and
He replied, "Anytime. I'm here 24 hours a day. All you have to do is ask for me, and I'll answer.
People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did; but people will never forget how you made them feel."
